pageants before, but let's say I never been satisfied 100% of my performance. I was always feeling there is space to improve myself in this industry, and when I won Miss Asia Pacific World it was already my top result when I became that perfect beauty queen in my own eyes. It was important not to win title, not to impress the fans, but rather to give myself that highest score that I really did my maximum best.

Andrew:  I don’t believe in luck.  There is nothing serendipitous about what we perceive to be luck.  I define luck as when preparation meets opportunity.  Everyone gets opportunities in their lives, but the truly prepared are the ones who could take full advantage of them.  Winning such a prestigious international beauty pageant that garners the attention of so many people from a fan point of view as well as a corporate point of view, would inevitably create a lot of opportunities for an ambitious & prepared young woman like yourself to capitalize on.  Talk about the exciting, new opportunities that followed your amazing, memorable victory.

Diana:  When I won Miss Asia Pacific World I started to receive a lot of offers: movie scripts, contracts from modeling agencies, and let's say there were so many that I had to refuse even very interesting ones. MAPW crown automatically makes you popular, successful and you get a chance to work in the modeling or film industry.  You’re going to be invited to the Cannes Film Festival, designers are going to offer you the best gowns for the red carpet, jewels and many other things that a girl can enjoy. Even my new Lexus car, I got as a gift from a car company; I never bought it. Andrew you will be surprised a lot, but thanks to the MAPW crown, I got even an offer to join IndyCar, so people and companies are learning about me even in the auto-race industry because of my title.

Andrew:  Michelangelo once said, "The greatest danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and failing; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark."  Then just over 500 years later, Michael Jordan said, upon carefully reflecting on his incredible career as a professional basketball player in the NBA and pondering over why he continued to succeed in the face of adversity, "I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career.  I've lost almost 300 games.  26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed.  I've failed over and over and over again in my life.  And that is why I succeed."
